Peak
The maximum amplitude of a voltage or current.

Phase
Refers to the timing relationship of two or more signals or soundwaves. It's especially important to be sure that your stereo speakers are playing "in phase", meaning that the drivers (cones and domes) of your right and left speakers are moving in and out at the same time.

Playback
The reproduction of recorded audio or video.

Ported Enclosure
A type of speaker enclosure that uses a duct or port to improve efficiency at low frequencies.

Port
An opening in a speaker enclosure designed to act together with the air in the enclosure. This allows the back of a driver to produce output over a narrow band of low frequencies, reinforcing sound radiated directly by the driver.

Power (P)
The rate at which energy is used.
