Harmonic
The multiple frequencies of a given sound, created by the interaction of signal waveforms.
Harmonic Distortion
Harmonics that are artificially added by an electrical circuit or speaker which are generally undesirable. It is expressed as a percentage of the original signal.
Hertz (Hz)
A measurement of the frequency of sound vibration. One hertz equals to one cycle per second.
Hiss
Audio noise that sounds similar to air being released from a tire.
Home Theater
An audio system designed to reproduce cinematic theater sound in your home. Usually consists of at least a 5.1 speaker system setup.
