Magnetic Shielding
The magnet in the speaker generates magnetic fields which can cause interference to the images on your TV or PC monitor. Magnetically shielded speakers will prevent this.

Midrange (mids)
Midranges are frequencies above the bass but below the treble. It carries most of the identifying tones of music or speech.

Mono
Monophonic sounds are a single channel sound source.

MP3
A type of compression format that makes digital music files small, without radically degrading the audio quality.

Multi channel surround sound (in 4.1 / 5.1 / 6.1 / 7.1 configuration)
Desktop / home theater surround speaker setup comprising 4 or more speakers and 1 subwoofer. The first number refers to the number of speakers while ".1" refers to the subwoofer.
