Creative introduces the "Sound Blaster®" card. The newly developed soundcard delivers an 11-voice FM synthesizer with text-to-speech
capabilities, 8-bit mono digital recording and playback, a MIDI/Gameport and a variety of software titles.

After a few years of research Creative Labs introduces the "Creative Music System - C/MS", a 12 voice-stereo-music synthesizer. The product comes
equipped with a complete software package: C/MS Composer, C/MS Intelligent Organ and C/MS Multimedia Presenter.
1981
Sim Wong Hoo founded a company in Singapore. His vision was that one day the Personal Computer, which had only recently launched, might be able
to make tones, talk or even play music at Hi-Fi quality. He called the company "Creative Labs" to show the relationship between the creative
work and development.
