Following five years of development Creative launches a breakthrough audio platform, which in turn delivers the new Xtreme Fidelity Standard! It is a breakthrough because of the raw power that it delivers (over 10,000 MIPS) generated from more than 51 million transistors! This is the equivalent to running 24 Sound Blaster Audigy cards in your PC all parallel processing audio! This incredible power allows Creative to deliver the Xtreme Fidelity audio standard, which delivers an enhanced audio experience, yet does not require users to do anything different with their content than they did before or buy any new content (unlike any previous new audio standard). Xtreme Fidelity sets a new standard for audio by delivering two new technologies (24-bit Crystalizer and CMSS-3D) that actively re-master, enhance and re-mix existing normal and compressed stereo 16-bit audio content in real-time to 24-bit quality, multi-channel content for speakers and headphones. Existing Dolby and DTS Movie and Music content can also enjoy the Xtreme Fidelity treatment and be re-mastered and enhanced for additional listening pleasure and be re-mixed as required for an improved listening experience over headphones, two speakers or multi-channel speaker formats that do not match the content's speaker configuration (e.g. delivering 5.1 content over 4.1 or 7.1 speakers). In addition Xtreme Fidelity guarantees stunning audio clarity with a minimum of 109db SNR. In addition to Xtreme Fidelity audio the Sound Blaster X-Fi products deliver never before seen levels of gaming performance, surround sound and audio realism - that means faster and smoother gaming while simultaneously delivering the Xtreme Fidelity and EAX ADVANCED HD enhancements.

Four Sound Blaster X-Fi variants are launched, the Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic, Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum, Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS and Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro. Between them they cater for every conceivable requirement any PC user will have!
