SINGAPORE – 31 August 2010 – Creative Technology Ltd. today announced availability of the Creative Sound Blaster® Wireless Rock Speaker, the latest addition to the Creative Sound Blaster Wireless family of products, designed to be placed outside, bringing the music playing from a Creative whole-home wireless audio system outside. The Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Rock Speaker is a high-quality stereo speaker encased in a granite-rock like exterior, which complements any landscape. Great in outdoor gardens, open balconies and alfresco cafes and perfect for outdoor parties and BBQs, the Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Rock Speaker is designed to withstand moderate weather conditions so it does not have to be brought in every time it rains.

The Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Rock Speaker works with the Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Music System, which is available separately. The Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Music System is incredibly easy to use; simply plug the transmitter into a USB port on any desktop, notebook, netbook or laptop and instantly begin wirelessly streaming from iTunes, Pandora or any other music application. Now with the Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Rock Speaker, music can be heard outside from the PC, up to 30 metres away. Absolutely no cables or network configuration are required.
The Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Rock Speaker is powered by a removable rechargeable battery, which delivers up to six hours of continuous music playback. The battery recharges through a separate powered charging cradle, which is included. The battery plugs easily into the back of the speaker, so the speaker does not have to be moved in order to be charged.
