Creative Wins Three Prestigious 'RED DOT' Design Awards

ZEN Vision:M, ZEN Vision Portable Media Players and TravelSound 400 Portable Speakers Win Global Recognition for Design Quality and Innovation

SINGAPORE - May 31, 2006 - Creative Technology Ltd. (NASDAQ: CREAF), the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products today announces that three of its products - the ZEN Vision:M, ZEN Vision portable media players and the TravelSound 400 portable speakers - have won Red Dot awards. Presented annually for superior design quality and innovation by the Essen Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, in Germany, Red Dot has recognised outstanding design since 1955 and its awards are regarded as among the world's most prestigious, with thousands of entries each year.

The jury's criteria included functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, durability, symbolic and emotional content, clarity of function and ecological compatibility. Jurors were impressed with the overall very high quality standards of the submitted products, which came from 41 countries. "Many companies participating in the Red Dot design award have been successfully investing in innovation and design for a long time in order to stand out from the competition and to convey their brand values," explains Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of the Red Dot design award and president of the International Design Association ICSID. "However, creativity by itself is not enough; the products also have to be of high quality. And it is also the task of design to communicate this quality."

"Creative has a very strong history of driving market trends and adopting design approaches that address the needs and lifestyle choices of different people," comments Sim Wong Hoo, Chairman and CEO of Creative. "We began as a company designing products for PC-based entertainment, but we have made the transition to a major provider of personal entertainment solutions in which design is a key element.

"Our three winning products were developed by our own Industrial Design team, which we encourage to search the world for emerging trends, tastes and consumer cultures. This investment is earning significant rewards in the design quality of our products, their appeal to consumers, and in professional recognition. Awards such as Red Dot show that we are on the right track for continuing achievement in this important area."
